A client called and booked our services to attend a booked drain. We arrived at the house in South Yarra to find that the sewerage was overflowing and running down their driveway. All our trucks are equip with high pressure water jetting machines and cctv drain cameras which makes life very easy when confronted with blockages, I don't know how plumbers worked without theses tools back in the day.
On inspection we found that the vertical junction at the boundary trap had partially collapsed from tree roots and was the cause of the problem. We showed the client on the camera and explained there options. The drain in this state wouldn't hold up for long and they asked us to repair it asap. The following day we got back to the job and dug up the problem pipe and replaced it with PVC.
